Established in 1978 on Commercial Street in Nevada City, California, J.J. Jackson’s is known for its curated selection of beautiful and unique textiles, tableware, body care, travel gear, greeting cards, toys, books, candles and baby things. 

Teresa Berliner Mann purchased J. J. Jackson’s in 2006 from the original owner, Martha Meredith. Teresa’s mission is to maintain some of the retail roots of the community in which she was raised. In her youth, J. J. Jackson’s had been Osborn & Woods, the artistic bastion of David Osborn and Charles Woods. It is during their occupation of the space that the shelf housing the famous card wall was brought in from a San Francisco drug store. They were also the playful duo that established the toy table, a tradition that J. J. Jackson’s proudly carries on.

Today, as in years gone by, we are not only an inspired and creative space but also a source of connection and community. We believe that connection is vital to our healthy living. We strive to provide good goods that will enhance well being.
